The Bellevue Police Department SWAT team and Mercer Island Marine Unit will be conducting training at The Meydenbauer Marina on July 14th 2015 from approximately 12:30 PM until 5:00 PM.
During this time, there will be officers in and around the west end of the marina dressed in Bellevue SWAT uniforms. Additionally, a Mercer Island Police Boat will be in the bay.
The training will include the use of life saving equipment deployed by our teams when deployed in and around a water environment. No live ammunition, loud noise causing equipment or explosives will be included in this training. This day is designed to familiarize Bellevue SWAT Officers with safe operating procedures and officer rescues within water environments. Additionally, our department relies heavily on the support of Mercer Island Police Department’s marine unit during these events.
We apologize for any inconvenience that you may incur during this training. The Bellevue Police Department is constantly training to provide the citizens of Bellevue with quality police services. I will be at the training site during this training exercise. Please call Officer Andy Smith with any concerns 425-452-7878.
Respectfully,
Officer Andy Smith P373
