On behalf of the MBNA Board, I would like to extend our Best Wishes for the season to you all. The Board has been very active this year working with the City Park Staff and the design contractor in finalizing the design for Phase 1 of the Meydenbauer Beach Park and the art proposed for instillation in the Park.
The City Park Department has applied for permits for Park construction and for approvals from the Army Corps of Engineers, the Muckleshoot Tribe, and the State Dept. of Ecology. The City is now projecting a late 2016 or early 2017 start of Phase 1 construction with a 2017 completion.
MBNA is closely monitoring the impact of the Park and its construction on traffic and parking. If needed, our Association is prepared to commission independent studies to verify the City’s conclusion development of the Park will have little or no impact on traffic or parking. To do this, MBNA will continue to need your support.
