A major milestone in the progress on the Meydenbauer Bay Park has been reached–Bellevue has released the Staff Report on the park’s environmental aspects. This is a necessary step under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) before permits can be issued and before construction can start in 2017.
The City has scheduled the hearing on the Staff Report for 7:00pm on April 14th in the city council chambers at city hall. Members of the MBNA board and our attorney will attend and speak at this hearing, and you are encouraged to attend as well.
The report is 85 pages long and can be found online at
http://www.bellevuewa.gov/pdf/Land%20Use/15-108435-WA_Meydenbauer_Park_Phase_I.pdf
We will continue to analyze the report, but it is evident from a quick review that many of MBNA’s concerns have been addressed. MBNA meetings with the City planners and our submissions are mentioned frequently.
Our mission is to ensure the livability of the Meydenbauer Bay area. Help us to look out for your interests in park design, traffic, parking, and other issues of concern. Your donations are always welcome. We are a 501 (c) 3 entity, making your donation tax deductible.
