We’d like to give you an update on the new park and related concerns.
- The city will begin work in January 2017 on the first segment of the sewer rehabilitation project. The area affected by this work is the south end of 100th Avenue adjacent to the lake, and eastward through the Marina parking lot.
- Work on the new Meydenbauer Beach Park is scheduled to begin in mid 2017.
- A bay neighbor recently noticed that the current Meydenbauer Beach Park is attracting vagrants. Overnight encampments were observed from East Shoreland Drive which is across the lake from the park.
- The City of Bellevue has been notified of this problem and a case number assigned to the complaint.
- If you see such activity in our parks or neighborhood, please notify the police using the 911 system for emergencies, or 425-577-5656 for non-emergencies.
- Please reference “Code Violation and Nuisance Complaints Request” #2004414. The City encourages us to report violations and nuisances so they can keep track of problems.
