One of our residents in the Meydenbauer Bay neighborhood reported a serious attempted break-in at the door next to their garage. A crow bar was used to try to remove the door’s security plate. This happened at the condominium across from the Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club at the foot of 100th Ave.
The City expects moving overhead power lines underground along Lake Washington Boulevard by mid-February. Later this spring a sidewalk will be built along the south side of LWB between the bridge and 99th Ave., with intermittent lane closures along LWB through the first quarter of 2018.
A recent City of Bellevue show on the progress of the Meydenbauer Bay Waterfront Park aired on Lake to Lake. It features Glenn Kost, City Planner, talking about the current status of the development of the Park. It shows the major outlines of the hillside, the daylighted stream, the new beach, and the construction of the pier and beachhouse. Park update is first six minutes of video. Take a look.

emporary water shut-offs are scheduled on Nov. 14 and 28 to allow replacing the aging waterline along Lake Washington Boulevard. If this impacts you, you will be notified by the City.
The Meydenbauer Bay Neighbors Assn. held a forum on Oct. 12th with all 8 candidates running for Bellevue City Council this November. Candidates answered questions about the waterfront park, traffic, homelessness , urban growth, and preserving neighborhoods. The forum was well attended by 85 or so Bellevue voters who were able to meet the candidates at the end of the program.
