Results of the Meydenbauer Bay Park Permit Hearing

On April 14, 2016 a public hearing was held at City Hall, before an independent hearing examiner, to review the City’s application for the park permits. The Meydenbauer Bay Neighbors Association (MBNA) was considered a party to the proceedings, giving us the right to provide briefs and witnesses and to cross-examine city staff witnesses….

Park Staff Environmental Report Released

A major milestone in the progress on the Meydenbauer Bay Park has been reached–Bellevue has released the Staff Report on the park’s environmental aspects. This is a necessary step under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) before permits can be issued and before construction can start in 2017.

Incident at Meydenbauer Apartments

At around 2:30 am on January 25th, 4 gunshots were heard, waking some MBNA Board Members who live near the Meydenbauer Apartments.  This building has access from both 100th and 101th Avenues to its lobby.  Within minutes, police and fire units responded.

Seasons Greetings to our MBNA friends

On behalf of the MBNA Board, I would like to extend our Best Wishes for the season to you all. The Board has been very active this year working with the City Park Staff and the design contractor in finalizing the design for Phase 1 of the Meydenbauer Beach Park and the art proposed for instillation in the Park. 

Sewer Line Replacement

The city published a schedule for the north Meydenbauer sewer line replacement that we told you about several years ago.  At this time, the city anticipates replacing the line as it currently sits in the lake due to impacts to lakefront property owners…

Meydenbauer Public Art Concepts Presentations

This coming Wednesday, the Meydenbauer Bay Park artists will bring in their concepts for art works in Phase 1 of the park.  Mary Pat Byrne, City of Bellevue Arts Specialist, had the opportunity to preview the concepts; you will see many ideas for beautiful work related to the park’s natural environment and its history.
