As planned, the City of Bellevue has begun the demolition of 4 houses on the park site. When this is complete and roughly graded, survey and topographic studies will be conducted. Shortly thereafter, the MBNA board will be meeting with the design contractor to share ideas on several of the design issues contained in the previously approved Park Master Plan. There are two houses on 99th Avenue SE that will remain for this phase and be demolished in a future phase. We’ll keep you apprised as we learn more.
In addition, the new visitor moorage in Bellevue Marina is showing increased usage as boaters, pickup/drop-offs, and paddle board/kayak launchers discover it’s availability. The restroom-equipped site is open to the public and is staffed by park rangers on evenings and weekends.
